Monasteries: Arapovski Monastery

The "St Nedelya" monastery (also known as Arapovo monastery) is situated 8km to the northeast of the town of Asenovgrad, very close to the Zlatovrah village (formerly named village of Arapovo). "St Nedelya" monastery is one of the few Bulgarian monasteries built in the field instead of in the natural protection of the mountain. The monastery can be easily reached from Asenovgrad by following the road to the town of Purvomay. Shortly after leaving the Asenovgrad town, you need to take a signed off-road to the right that leads to the monastery's gates.
