Rural Tourism: Brashlyan

Brashlyan - Pictures Of Bulgaria
The village of Brashlyan lies 11km to the northwest of the border town of Malko Turnovo, in the heart of the Strandzha mountain. The village is declared an architectural and historical reserve for the unique style of its houses – regretfully, only some of them in good condition. A large number of Brashlyan’s houses are built in the 18-19th century and are declared architectural monuments.

Apart from its ancient houses, the village’s church, named after St Dimitar, is another big sight in Brashlyan. The church was built in the end of the 17th century and used to host a church school in the past. At present, it is also stamped as an architectural monument.
