Kuklen village is located 14Km to the south of the nearest major town, Plovdiv, and is approximately 100km south west of the bulgarian capital, Sofia. The picturesque Kuklen Monastery lies near the village - 1 hour walking distance. The monastery, named St.St.Kozma and Damian, is famous since the reign of Tsar Ivan Alexander for its literary school and cultural influence, as well as for the waters of the holy spring that cure mental disorders.
