Settlements: Parvomai

The town of Parvomai lies 45km to the east of the second biggest city of Plovdiv. A settlers’ hillock dating to the Neolithic Era has been discovered about 3km to the northeast of one of Parvomai’s quarters, Debar. Moreover, in the town’s outskirts, as well as in the quarters of Debar and Lyubenovo, archeologists have found Thracian mounds. Roman graves dating to the period of 1-4th c. have been also discovered here.
As the town is surrounded by fertile plains, agriculture and food processing are the main job-creating activity in Parvomai and the surrounding villages. Cereals, tobacco, vegetables as well as vineyards grow abundantly in the region.
