Settlements: Radnevo

Radnevo is situated in the eastern part of the Upper Thracian Plain, close to the area center Stara Zagora.
The mild climate, rich soils and hot water made the region around Radnevo attractive place for people to settle here in the ancient times. The first people who came to live here were the Thracian tribe Pirogeri. They built their settlements 4,000 years ago. Later, the Romans set a road station called Arzus.
More than 300 unique archeological sites were uncovered on the territory of Radnevo municipality: strongholds and fortifications, ancient settlements, tells and mounds. All archeological finds, including a number of object made of gold, silver, bronze, stone and bone are exhibited in the town archeological museum.
