"The Maiden" is a natural rocky formation resembling a standing woman. It is located in the outskirts of the village of Shiroka Luka and can be reached if one follows the road to the town of Devin. A legend tells that in order to save herself from the approaching Turkish troops, a Bulgarian maiden turned herself to stone and has remained there ever since.
