The Yundola resort centre is situated in the border area between the Rila and Rhodopi mountains. It lies 16km away from Velingrad, 26 km away from Belovo and 25km away from Yakoruda, and is connected by regular bus lines to these three towns.
Yundola is situated at 1,400m above sea level, and represents a 3km-long and 1km-wide meadow surrounded by forests. There are a lot of rest homes, hotels, villas, restaurants and shops there. Its ski track, serviced by an own tug, lies at 1,680m above sea level and is of total length of 280m.
Yundola is an intermediary point for combined routes in the Rila and Rhodopi mountains and also for the European route E-8. For 3.5 hours down a marked track one can reach the Kladova Chalet in the Alabak sub-range of the Rhodopi.
