More than 5,000 visitors opened officially season 2008 in the Bulgaria's Borovets mountain resort on Sunday.
Skiers and snowboarders enjoyed a 50% discount on lift pass, as well as sunny weather and nearly 2 meters of snow on the slopes of the biggest winter resort in Bulgaria's Rila mountain.
The day finished with a unique snow fest with lots of music and a snowman building contest, in which 15 teams took part.
Most of the facilities in the resort have been working since December 8th due to the early snow.
The skiing conditions in all Bulgarian mountain resorts are good and many may combine their Christmas holiday with a swoosh or two down the slopes.
