Bulgaria - Pleasant Surprise for SkiersSource: Sofia News Agency (www.novinite.com) Published Date: 29 Jan 2006
Bulgaria is a pleasant surprise for skiers, the Romanian Cotidianul newspaper says in an article published Saturday. According to Mircea Draghici, Secretary General of the Romanian National Tourist Agencies Association, Bulgaria is a destination that currently sells well and will be even more wanted in the years to come. He says for the newspaper that the "price" factor plays and important role in the country's popularity as a room in a three-star hotel costs EUR 17 a night.
Draghici also notes that other interesting destinations like Norway, Sweden and Finland also offer good prices compared to other Western-European countries. However Romanian tour operators don't see those three gathering too much popularity among their clients, due to the fact that they are quite a long distance away.
