One of Bulgaria’s top ski resorts – Pamporovo in the Rhodoppe Mountain – opened Saturday the winter season.
A total of BGN 40 M have been invested in the infrastructure of the Pamporovo resort in the last two years, according to the owner of Pamporovo Jsc, Tsvetelina Borislavova, who is publicly known as the girlfriend of Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.
Borislavova said Pamporovo would probably see fewer tourists in 2009-2010 than it had in 2008-2009.
Later on the day of the opening of the winter season, the western part of the resort suffered a power outage as a result the inclement weather.
