Bulgarian Folk Happening Shortens EU PathsSource: Sofia News Agency (www.novinite.com) Published Date: 27 May 2006
Young people from 12 to 25 years of age, from eight different countries, have embraced folklore in all of its forms to make the path to the EU shorter.
The Youth Folklore Art Festival has heralded in Sofia this summer's second edition of the happening to spread to coastal Primorsko and Kiten in August.
Folklore dance ensembles, vocal groups, instrumentalists and soloists, as well as bands, groups and performers from other genres of art, took on a stage in front of the National Palace of Culture to the pleasure of late afternoon passers-by.
The initiative is organised for a second successive year by Eurograde, a firm specialised in recreational and tourism activities for children.
