Hotel discounts rivalry is gaining ground along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast as the end of the summer season is drawing nearer.
Visitors will have the chance to enjoy the sun and the sea at reduced prices as of September 1, the management of the major Bulgarian resorts announced.
Expected flattish bookings in September have set discounts ranging from 15% to 40%.
The new prices at two-star hotels start at about BGN 13 per person but travelers prepared to dig deeper into their pockets can find more opulence and luxury in five-star hotels at the northern Golden Sands resort, where the price for a room will stand at about BGN 70.
Albena resort, situated only 30 km away from Bulgaria's sea capital Varna, also announced promotional 15% discount for accommodation at two-star hotels. The promotion came into force on August 28 and will be valid till September 15.
The Sunny beach resort, the largest seaside resort on the Bulgarian Riviera, will come up with an even more tempting offer in October - BGN 48 per bed at a five-star hotel.
