Bulgarian Tourism Face Collapse Unless DiversifiedSource: Sofia News Agency (www.novinite.com) Published Date: 04 May 2006
Bulgaria's tourism sector might collapse unless it is innovated and diversified, Bulgaria's ex deputy tourism minister forecasts.
Dimitar Hadzhinikolov, who was Deputy Toruism Minister in the previous Cabinet, told local Darik radio that the newly established National Tourism Board should pool efforts with the National union of the Tourism industry.
He pointed out that the tourism sector faces serious problems and therefore it needs joint efforts.
Just a day earlier Bulgaria saw the creation of a National Tourism Board, which gathered businesses from the sector in a bid to sort out its issues. Infrastructure, regional development, and beach and airport concessions will be some of the areas that the board will tackle.
