Snowy and blizzard winds have grasped Bulgaria, with temperatures expecting to fall further from the current minus 9 to minus 16C on Wednesday.
The Black Sea's Burgas Airport however is open and can handle landings.
The Port of Varna is open only to loaded ships, maritime administration announced. The city's airport is open.
Plovdiv Airport has been closed since early Sunday due to the heavy snow.
The runways were cleared but most of the republican roads and highways pose threats to winter unsecured vehicles.
