Varna - London Flights Serviced under Tight Security Measures

The authorities of Varna's airport, Bulgarian sea capital, have not cancelled any of the flights to London so far.

The three flights to Britain, that are scheduled for Friday, will be carried out under tightened security measures.

Passengers will be allowed to carry on board a limited range of items, placed in a transparent plastic bag.

Travelers may board only with a pocket-size wallets or pocket-size purses plus contents - money, credit cards, essential travel documents as passport and ticket.

Prescribed medicines adequate and essential for the flight, such as diabetic kit, will be approved after being verified as authentic and except in liquid form.

Spectacles and sunglasses can be taken without their cases. Contact lenses can be accompanied by their holder, but without bottles of solution for disinfecting.

For those traveling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (nappies, wipes, creams and nappy disposal bags) are admissible. Female sanitary items and tissues will be permitted only if unboxed.

All other hand baggage, including cellular phones and notebooks must be processed as hold baggage and carried in the hold of the aircraft.

Nothing may be carried in pockets.
